The Plarn Project
For this quarter's rotary service project we will be creating Plarn to assist Becky Topil in creating her beds for the Homeless / Peoples City Mission. We'll be "Plarning" on February 2. Our goal is to make at least 3 - 350 bag Plarn Balls.

Bags that can be used are any recyclable bags with handles, such as Menard's, Target, Walmart, or any grocery store.

Becky has a goal to reach 100 beds, and she's nearly a quarter of the way there.  She said that having plarn balls made is a great help in getting the beds constructed, as she "hand-crochets" each bed with love.

Bags can be dropped off to Julie Brezenski, just give her a call at 308-850-8013 or email.
Giving Spirits Rotary Recap
WOW!!!  The LSW Hawktets really did impress.  If you weren't in the holiday spirit before listening to the beauty of their voices, you definitely were after!!

A special thanks to the generous Rotarians who pitched in to show our support of these wonderful kids.  They are truly dedicated to their singing and performing.  If you'd like to support the LSW Booster you can find them on Facebook!

After a brief meeting and enjoying Kathy's succulent Turkey noodle soup, we all had a delightful evening wrapping gifts for the packages for Lynette's Angels.

Special Reminder: "Kathy's Sleigh" will depart for Fullerton to deliver packages THIS SUNDAY!!!
There is still room if you'd like to join in and enjoy the 'gravel travel'.
