Tonya gave a fantastic and lively account of her years in the Peace Corps. She thought she would be stationed in a remote third-world country, forced to carry water for miles just to exist.  Instead she was assigned to a beautiful island in Micronesia, in Palau. Her story even has a fairytale ending ~ as she is able to return to her station every few years, with her new family!! What a beautiful story. 

 

My takeaway is this: 

 

The Peace Corps is still in need of volunteers (or will be when travel restrictions have been lifted), it may be even easier to qualify to be a volunteer, and there is no AGE limit to start this journey!!
